Cicero Intermodal Facility Update: Austin Blvd. Bridge Closed for Construction
The Austin Blvd. bridge located inside our Cicero Intermodal Facility will be closed for approximately the next two months due to capital expansion construction. With the completion of this final phase of construction, our multi-year expansion project at Cicero will be complete, providing more room for growth and efficiency with our customers.
This bridge connects the Ceco ramp and Ogden ramp within the facility. During this closure, facility operators and truck drivers will have no access to travel between the Ogden Ramp and Ceco Ramp and will need to enter and exit each ramp through the checkpoint gates located at each individual ramp outlined below:
Ceco Ramp – Checkpoint Gates Located at 5601 W 26th St, Cicero, IL 60804
- Ceco ingates are open to units with destinations to St. Paul, MN ONLY. All other units attempting to ingate at Ceco will be rejected and MUST ingate at Ogden.
- Ceco Ingates are closed for all bare chassis returns unless directly requested by BNSF management.
- Ceco outgates are open for units located in Lots 1, 2 and 3 only.
Ogden Ramp – Checkpoint Gates Located at 5010 Ogden Ave, Cicero, IL 60804
- Ogden ingates are open for all units with destinations other than to St. Paul MN. These include destinations of Denver CO, Portland OR, Spokane WA, Seattle WA, and Tacoma WA that need to ingate at Ogden.
- Ogden ingates are open for bare chassis returns.
- Ogden outgates are open for units located in Lots A, B, C, D, E, F and 5 only.
For drivers making multiple pickup and drop off moves between the Ceco and Ogden ramps, you will need to enter and exit through appropriate checkpoints and use public streets to gain access to each ramp.
